- Under the law, a spouse can't be forced to testify against her/his other half. I've always wondered why a Mother's testimony is not deemed to be suspect.....as in all the Moms I know have a "blindspot for the truth" when it comes to their kids.

- There are many "safety release valves" available to a servicemember who believes he/she has information that should be reported. This SOLDIER made no effort to use "proper channels" for his perceived wrongdoing.

- As usual...a lot of the questions asked above were answered in the article. One post above claimed the shark was shot. The accurate info given is that they used gun shots to scare the shark away. I have read and heard from many many sources that human flesh is not on the menu for great whites.
